Class action is a form of group litigation procedure recognised in some jurisdictions around the world. In simple terms, it allows larger group of claimants (businesses, investors or other individuals) that have legal claims against the same counterpart based on the same or comparable circumstances to combine together in a single litigation case. This procedure tends to save costs and congestion of the courts in comparison to individual single litigation actions.
While Class action has not been yet introduced in the Czech republic and Slovakia we are lobbying for its quick introduction and we are already gathering claimants that may have a valid claim. Please visit our website for more information.
Group litigation is globally recognised as a significant instrument that improves access to justice for ordinary citizens and, because of this increased access, it further enhances corporate governance practice.
